When Dafni and I (along with the brilliant Edie Murphy, Tracy Huffman, Jaimi Shuey, Will Forbes, etc.) were getting ready for our trips to SXSW, Rod at the Cinema Bar was nice enough to let us do some weekend daytime gigs to get our sets ready. These afternoons were so pleasant, that we decided to make it a monthly thing!
SO, Saturday May 12 -- come by for an afternoon drink on your way home from the beach! No cover! There's nothing like a Saturday afternoon at the Cinema!

Sarah Stanley will be the first of 5 readers of fabulous, hilarious and touching essays at Christine Shoenwald's fun essay show "Pinata" THIS THURSDAY NIGHT, May 10th.

Other readers Jenny Noa, Samm Hill, Vanessa Marshall and the fabulous Alex Alexander will make you laugh until you cry. And there is free candy.
