ROOM 5 on ThursApril 21, 8PM, with Kalai King!!
We'll be at Room 5 -- above Almalfi -- a tasty cool restaurant....the admission is free (though we might have a jar for the band,) and it's a great location on La Brea just south of Beverly (next door to Acme Theatre...) Oh -- there is a two drink minimum... Wonderful singer/songwriter Kalai King is opening with a short set at 8, then we'll be up around 8:45 and out of there before 10...
Book a sitter, make a plan it's gonna be good

I went to Room 5 to see my good friend Kalai King on a first date after dinner at Amalfi. As usual Kalai was great however I stuck around to see Sarah Stanley and thank God I did. A truly great show with imaginative, witty lyrics as well as a great evocative jangly rock sound. My date was very impressed and so was I. Looking forward to seeing Sarah Stanley again and recommend to any guys out there, if you're on a first date, go and see Sarah and her amazing band. Your date will love you for it!
